9000 Series Impact Approved Bahama Shutters

Bahama Shutters 9000 Series

These awning type shutters mount on the outside flat over your window opening. They come with telescoping support arms, which are adjustable. There are multiple adjustments for the customer to let in as much light and view as they need. This type of impact shutter has a flat backing that can have vent holes or perforated to allow maximum light in and still have impact protection. They also come with heavy duty lock down brackets and all mounting harware for maximum hurricane force winds and security.

As manufacturers of this impact approved bahama shutter, we can install locally or have a dealer that may be close to you to install them. Or, we can ship them directly to you with installation instructions. The approval plans/drawings can be obtained at www.floridabuilding.org and www.miamidade.gov/buildingcode. Look for Jordan's Aluminum, Inc. through the manufacturers. You will find all our shutter approvals. You may also need to see ASSA - American Shutter Systems Association, which Jordan's Aluminum, Inc. is a member. We are also members of the IHPA - International Hurricane Protection Association and the BBB - Better Business Bureau.

Powder coating is a type of dry coating, which is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin." The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is manly used for coating of metals, such as "white goods", aluminum extrusions, and automobile and motorcycle parts. As powder coating finishes vary in the baking process there may be some orange peel or other coating coverage differences. This is beyond our control. Jordan's Aluminum does not do the powder coat. We use an established well known company for this service. Jordan's Aluminum, Inc. warrants all extrusions and all product manufacturing. Any powder coat finish warranty if any will be provided by the powder coater.
